Mark AldrenExecutive Producer of Special ProjectsCBS Atlanta News, WGCL-TV Mark Aldren is Executive Producer for Special Projects at Atlanta’s WGCL-TV. He began his broadcast career more than 25 years ago as a reporter, photographer and anchor at WJXT in Jacksonville. As a reporter in Florida, Aldren covered the Apollo moon flights and flew into a tropical storm with the U.S. Navy Hurricane Hunters. He served as News Director at the ABC affiliate in Jacksonville and the CBS affiliate in Jackson, Mississippi. He has also worked in Miami and Washington. Aldren was part of the original team recruited by Ted Turner to launch CNN in 1980. Previous to joining WGCL, Aldren spent 4 years providing strategy to broadcast clients across the country as a Senior Consultant for Audience Research & Development, based in Dallas. Aldren lives in Alpharetta with his wife, Lisa, and two children. |
